Bio After growing up in Int’l Falls and graduating from Bemidji State, I moved to New Prague (MN), beginning a career of teaching Spanish (mainly) and English for 33.59 years. Summer study courses in Mexico and Spain continued to sharpen my language skills as did shorter trips with and without students. Retiring in 2004 allowed me to spend a year as a “Senior Gapper” in Costa Rica.
I’m a covenant member of the Community of Christ the Redeemer and belong to St Peter’s in Mendota although an erratic schedule allows for daily mass in other parishes. I’ve volunteered with Traveler’s Assistance at MSP and have a greeting card company with a friend. I enjoy walking and playing guitar. I believe we have been called “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14) to pray diligently for our country, our church and our world.
