Chairmantomnfrcom.comTom Bengtson, who has lived nearly his entire life in the Twin Cities, is a business owner and writer. He attended Catholic schools, graduating from the Academy of the Holy Angels in 1979. He has a bachelor's degree in English and French from the University of Minnesota. He worked as a sportswriter before working in corporate communications and starting his trade press publishing company in 1991. He co-founded Chesterton Academy in 2008, serving as its chairman until 2014. He is co-founder of Unity Catholic High School and has been chairman since its opening in 2019. Tom and his wife, Susan, have certificates from the Catechetical Institute of the St. Paul Seminary. They have four adult children and are members of St. Raphael's parish. Tom is passionate about Catholic education and helping young people cultivate their relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord. Tom enjoys reading, sailing, aviation, and tennis.
