During his playing career, Matt and his wife Adrianna created the HIKE Foundation- HOPE, INSPIRATION, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION- to provide opportunities to help underprivileged youth through key educational transition points. During 2012, Matt’s last season as an NFL player, over 100,000 Baltimore area kids were enrolled in HIKE’s two reading programs.A Catholic school product of Nativity in St Paul and Cretin-Derham Hall, Matt thinks vigorously Catholic education is the best strategy for equipping young people to have fulfilling lives and get them to Heaven.
